About Tom Witz

Tom aspired to be an author for as long as he can remember. Influenced by the many true life stories he encountered during his two decades as a trial lawyer, he decided to step away from his practice to become a full-time writer and novelist. Tom is proud to introduce his debut novel, AN UNEXPECTED THAW, which explores humanity through the lens of a high-profile murder and trial - the Trial of the Century at the time - and merges Tom's keen eye for observation with his love of writing and the law.

Tom was born and raised in North Syracuse, NY.  He completed his education in New York City, and now lives in Saratoga, NY, with his wife Ali and their two teenage children. When he is not writing, Tom and his family like to explore unfamiliar places, dine, play music, hike, ski, and generally enjoy the company of family, friends, and each other.
